3rd Street Clayworks is a place where you can learn how to create functional objects and art from clay.

Owner and instructor CJ Wells is an originally self-taught craftsman of over forty years who holds a MFA in ceramics.

In addition to teaching classes for the public, Clayworks also teaches ceramics for Tulsa Community College.

Above all, we are a space dedicated to fostering a strong sense of community and collaboration.

A wonderful community of true artists, and people like me, who just want to play in the mud! Great vibes here for those who want to learn and have fun, as well as the naturally talented. LOVE this place!

The personal instruction you receive at 3rd Street is amazing. Jeff is able to take what would be an otherwise difficult task and transform it into a relaxing, pleasant undertaking. The feeling of community and belonging are unlike anything I have ever experienced.

3rd Street is a top-notch studio! Both beginners and experienced artists will receive great instruction to improve their skills, and the company is as good as it gets. This is truly a no-nonsense organization with reasonable pricing and people who are there because they genuinely love sharing their craft. The schedules are really flexible as well. Come give it a try or just stop by for a cup of coffee and chat about good music and art. You won’t regret it!
